Discogs for home. CrateSync for the crate. The official app is great on the couch. We’re built for cold cellars, dusty bins, and the eternal question: is this sticker a deal or a trap?
In the shop
Scan a barcode (or cover text when the sticker is mysterious). We pull Discogs prices for VG / VG+ / NM, you type what they ask, and we suggest Buy, Negotiate, or Leave.
Still inspect the vinyl. We’re smart — we’re not psychic.
Same scan flow, crate decisions: already own it, add to wantlist, or walk away with dignity. Your digs land in Today’s Dig so you can brag (or cry) later.
Fair-price alerts are the Shop Check signal: is this sticker a deal, a maybe, or a trap? You type what they ask, we compare Discogs VG / VG+ / NM bands, and we suggest Buy, Negotiate, or Leave.
Free includes 5 fair-price checks per week. Dig Pro removes that weekly limit — unlimited fair-price alerts for this Apple ID. It is a one-time lifetime In-App Purchase (typically €9.99 in the App Store). Not a subscription. Restore from the paywall if you reinstall.
Dig Pro does not gate the rest of the crate. Shop Check, Own / Want / Pass, Pressing Assist, Bulk Scan, wantlist price-drop alerts, Deal assist, offline collection, shelf and paid price, care log, played tonight, and listen links stay free.
Apple handles the unlock. Discogs handles checkout. We just tell you if the deadwax is laughing at the sticker.
Multiple versions look identical until you flip them. Type a matrix / runout fragment from the deadwax and we re-rank Discogs pressings. Confidence scores stay honest — never a fake 100%.
Got a stack to queue? Keep the camera open, Add or Skip each barcode, Done when you’re done. No tour of the Queue tab between every record.
Wantlist & deals
We watch Discogs lowest prices on your wantlist. When something drops, you get a badge (and optional notification). Tap Deal assist → open Discogs to buy.
We don’t take your money. Discogs does the checkout. We just tap you on the shoulder.
See the tracked lowest, how many copies are for sale, then jump straight to Discogs’ sell page — filter seller rating and condition there, where those tools actually live.
At home
Sync once, dig with bad cellar Wi‑Fi. Browse, search, and shop-check against your local crate. Queue new finds and push to Discogs when you’re back above ground.
“Shelf B, third from the left” and the €12 you swore you’d forget. Stored on your phone — Discogs sync won’t wipe it.
Log ultrasonic cleans, anti-static sleeves, and your own grade. We nudge Discogs market bands into a personal estimate for your copy — not a bank appraisal, just a smarter gut check.
Spin it, mark it. Recently played shows up on your Profile so you remember what actually left the shelf.
From a release: open a search in Apple Music or Spotify. Best-effort match — we don’t pretend Discogs pressings have streaming IDs stamped in the runout.
Unofficial, on purpose. CrateSync talks to the Discogs API with your token. We’re not affiliated with Discogs — we’re the friend who brings a flashlight to the flea market.
